Community Grant Program

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop community grant application period for 2024 has concluded. Please stay tuned for information on the 2025 Grant Application period.


Once a year, the Fort Drum Thrift Shop awards grants to nonprofit and charitable organizations for events, projects, and programs designed to enhance the lives of 10th Mountain Division Soldiers, their families and the greater Fort Drum community. Additional Information

  • Community Grant requests are intended to assist an agency or organization, not an individual.
  • Primary consideration is given to Fort Drum agencies, Fort Drum organizations, and those that closely impact the soldiers and families of the Fort Drum community.
  • The maximum amount that may be awarded is $2500. 
  • The Board of Directors of the Fort Drum Thrift Shop oversees the dispersing of funds and is the final authority.

Non-Monetary Grants

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop also offers non-monetary grants for those in need. Grant requests less than $100 in value can be processed directly by the Manager in store. Grant requests exceeding $100 in value must be reviewed and approved by the Executive Board. Applications are available at the Thrift Shop during our business hours or you can print the form below.

The Fort Drum Thrift Shop follows the Carthage school closing schedules, as well as Fort Drums delays.  If either school is delayed or closed, the Thrift Shop will also be delayed or closed, as well.  Please check our website and/or Facebook page for announcements of the Thrift Shop holiday and block leave closures.  Check these sites also for weather delays and closures.
